Khalari Cements Ltd

 

Khalari Cements Limited having a cement plant at Khalari Dist. Ranchi, Jharkhand. Khalari is located on the Barkakana – Daltanganj Railway line of Eastern Railway and is only about 60 KM by road from Ranchi, capital of Jharkhand State.

 

 The plant is situated at less than ¼ KM from Khalari Railway Station and it has a dedicated Railway Siding of its own for handling halfl Rake of about 28 wagons. The plant is having its own locomotive for shunting Railway Wagons for loading of cement and unloading of incoming raw materials.

 

 This Cement Plant was originally set up in 1938 by a premier Cement Mmanufacturing Company, M/s. Associated Cement Cos. Limited (ACC) and was operated by them upto 1991. Thereafter it changed hands with regards to the management of the plant and the present plant in the name of Khalari Cements Limited is being managed by Rungta Group of Companies since August,1997.

 

 At present the plant has one 300 TPD Wet process Kiln, 1 no. 60 TPH Crusher and 1 no. 40 TPH capacity Open Circuit Wet grinding Mill and 3 nos. Cement Mills having rated capacity of 12.5 TPH, 14 TPH and 11 TPH respectively for grinding Portland Slag Cement. The plant is having 4 nos. 1000 tonnes capacity silos for storing finished cement and is having one 60 TPH capacity Rotary Packer. It has an old coal based captive power plants of  2 x 2 MW capacity, which is not in operation at present..

 

The plant is having large capacity of covered and open gantry storage facility for storing incoming raw materials and clinker. These raw materials are handled by 2 nos. Electric Overhead Travelling (EOT) Grab Cranes each of 10 tonnes capacity. Besides the above facilities, the plant is having  Laboratory with all the required facilities for testing incoming raw material as well as finished cement. Further, the plant is having a Workshop and Electrical Repair Shop for undertaking various fabrication, machining and electrical repair jobs  in the plant itself.
